Anyone here knows how to create a shortcut to a folder (not file) to be placed on Today's screen?

Thanks

He has a Launcher app with which you can put all kinds of shortcuts on teh Today screen. For what you want, you would need to put a special shortcut for File Explorer to open a particular folder ... I know that can be done, but don't know how as I haven't used it in years.

Here's (http://www.nakka.com/soft/ptools/url) another free one much like the one already mentioned.
I use this one daily.
You can put icons for any program on the today screen, and you can make ones that you use more often, or ones you need to launch with a finger instead of a stylus, larger.

Thanks for all the replies but i had tried all the above programs recommend but none can actually create a SHORTCUT to a FOLDER (not program or single data file) on the desktop.

What i want to do is to create a shortcut to one of my data folders and have it opened by the File Explorer to view the files when i tap on it.

Any idea how?

You can create the shortcut with file explorer, and then any of the launch apps should be able to use it.

Create a shortcut and give it the target of ":MSFEXPLORE \temp" You might have to edit the file using notepad.
