I just woundering why there is no powerpoint in PPC? they included word and excel, but no powerpoint?
Many people don't need PowerPoint. Many had never opened the desktop version of PowerPoint.
I just did a presentation last week. I used a trial version of Pocket SlideShow (http://www.handango.com/PlatformProductDetail.jsp?productType=2&optionId=1_2_2&jid=42A75E422A19BBBXDB597XCFD2C48E3A&platformId=2&siteId=1&productId=18161§ionId=0&catalog=30&txtSearch=POcket+slide+show) to sync my PowerPoint presentation to my PPC so I could read my notes from my PPC.
I think I would buy Pocket SlideShow once the trial is over. Give it a try.

I use ClearVue from http://www.westtek.com/clearvue.htm together with the MARGI CF1 card to show presentations from a hp-568. Nice not having to log a laptop around.

Another option is Conduit's Pocket Slides.
If I had to guess why ther isn't a Pocket Powerpoint on the PPC, I would have to guess size. One of the primary reasons that Word and Excel are there is to allow viewing Word and Excel files received as e-mail attachments. That is why the Pocket versions will accept native .doc and .xls files. If you carry that philosophy through, you would have to accept native Powerpoint .ppt files. Those things get huge real fast (at least based on the tings my marketing and management guys produce).
Sure there was a Pocket Powerpoint for the handhelds, but that was when Powerpoint let you stick words and bullets in rectangles, with a transition or two. Now you have to have graphics and animation and embedded multimedia or you'd be embarresed to present it.
All of the third party PPT viewers/editors depend on some significant translation from the .ppt on the desktop to the PPC file.

Well that's all I need, and I'm not embarassed about it. All that other stuff tends to be more distracting than informative, I find. Let me draw some primitive pictures using the built-in shapes, and I'm set.

I think it probably depends on the target audience. A technical talk, which you or I might be inclined to give, is generally low on the animation as we need to make sure the reader isn't distracted from the main concepts. Compare this to a purely general-audience interest talk, where your challenge is to keep the audience's attention. My mom is, right now, setting up a presentation for a retirement party where pictures are embedded. Music, animation, etc. is all a valuable part of that.
On the other hand, I'm scheduled to teach a CS course this fall, and I'd be tempted to use a Pocket Powerpoint-style solution, so I don't have to lug a laptop. The only problem I have is finding a VGA output for a Pocket PC phone ;) Maybe I'll dust off my old 3650, get a new battery for it, and get a CF or sleeve solution plus Pocket Slides. On the other hand, I do have a 7 pound Sony in my office which I'll probably end up using, as it's cheaper... (how many sides did I cover in this discussion? I lost count.)

I just remembered that the new Toshiba e750 come with PowerPoint - this may set a precedent.

8O  Your e750 can with PP? In ROM? I didn't think a Pocket PC version of PP (from MS) existed.
