I read an article on PCMagazine.com in which the author made an off-hand reference to using bluetooth headphones with his IPaq. I did an extensive search on the internet and a few pocket PC websites/forums and have only found cell phone headsets.

Has anyone ever purchased and is currently using Bluetooth headphones? And if so, how's the sound quality?

Thanks for your help!

bluetooth headphones isn't supported and sound quality wont be allt hat great since the bandwidth on BT is so low. I dunno but getting that to work must be a tons of work and prolly damaging too

No Bluetooth headphones exist currently - but there are several in preparation and it should be possible to by a pair by Christmas (I believe Toshiba are planning to release theirs by then anyway!).

Bandwidth is not such a problem as it may seem. BT headphones will have a built in DSP to interpret a compressed (MP3/WMA) audio file streamed from a PDA.

Thanks for the info...I will keep my eye out for them, they should at least be worth a try...

PocketPC Magazine mentioned the Toshiba headphones. They said they sounded GREAT. Apparently, they use some type of compression to transmit, then the headphones decompress the stream. Nifty, but I've got to think they're going to be pretty expensive. They also mention a Q4 release date.

I asked this in another forum a while ago and someone gave me this link:
http://ipaqabilities.com/info/ipaqdirectory/wireless/bluetooth/headphones.php

And another link but I'm too lazy and tired to find the post and get the other link (I had this link bookmarked for quick reference..)

I'm waiting for these too, it would definitely help sway my mind towards the purchase of a 2200.
