Ipaq IR Connection to HP 6 Laser Printer

I recently purchased a used HP Laserjet 6 printer with InfraRed Communication capability.

I have been unable to successfully send a document to the printer from my Ipaq 3670.

When aligning the 2 IR ports, the Ipaq recognizes the HP 6 printer, however any document fails to be transferred.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

You need a printer driver for your PocketPC! Without a printer driver it will NOT work. You can try the software here free for thirdy days. It is what I use and like. http://www.fieldsoftware.com/ They have different products based on what you are trying to do. Hp also has some free software, but I never got it working with my HP network printer.
