So what are the 5 games? From the screen, I only see three (Astroids, Space Invaders, and Pac-Man)

We have a full size Mrs Pac-Man (or Mrs. PucMun if you prefer :D ) in our living room. I was just thinking of the irony that I have had this particular game on multiple home and mobile systems, and while the gameplay is the same, the experience of playing it on the full size machine is much better.

Don't remind me :( I sold mt full size Asteroids for £50 and my Derfender for £250. I was told I was lucky to get that much. The plan was to buy them back when I had space but of course they are £1000 and £2000+ respectively now.
Gutted.

We paid about $800 US a little over a year ago for a machine in excellent condition. We are adding a room on the back of the house so that we can build a little arcade. Long term, we want a setup with a pinball machine, a few other classic arcade games, pool table, slot machine, darts, and a mini craps table.

One word: Cheesy!

These knock-off programs kind of remind me of the old, black and white, generic BEER cans of the late 70s & early 80s.

Southport fair in UK was smashing up machines in 1988 which is when I got mine. There were Pacmans, Phoenix, Asteroids, Defender, Rally X, Centipede etc. All being smashed and thrown into skips. Wonder how those guys feel now :) I saved the Asteroids and Defender.

While they are a knock off, the screens look pretty accurate, except for the colors in the space invaders game. Of course, if the music is not right, forget it.

"Skips" are big fabricated metal bins that builders use for transporting to the rubbish tip. Sadly they applied sledge hammers prior to placing in the skip :)

As an alternative, I'd suggest trying out MAME for the Pocket PC. Here is a version that I used a while back. It was a lot of fun!

Plus, it's kind of cool to see just how many games you can fit on your Pocket PC.

Puctura Adventure is neat. This is Mastersoft's own creation taking ideas from other classics. I guess it shouldn't really be in the Game Pack given that it is new.

If I'm not mistaken, this bundle uses the AppForge library? I've got a number of runtime modules on my PocketPC already that I'm afraid I won't have the room to run anything. I should know, since my Pocket Tricorder software uses the NSBasic runtime module.

Also, I hear that some developers use and distribute the AppForge runtime module that has to be registered by each end user. (Do a search on PocketGear for some "free" products that require AppForge.) If that's the case, that's ridiculous - it should be up to the developer to release a working program or a trial, not leave it up to a third-party solution for a separate registration of their modules.

The splash screen comes up okay but when I try to actually run a game I get this message: Error Error Code: -2147467259 Description: form was unable to load. This was from a storage card install on a 2215. The fith game is Super Breakout.

All the Mastersoft modules are included. There is no separate cost or registration etc. Also most modern pocket PCs can cope with the 500K runtime as they come with 32Mb or more.
AppForge is much more powerful than .NET and that takes up Megabytes !

Anyone else have trouble with these? For example, in Asteroid Smash, I can turn left & right, and thrust, but can't fire at the asteroids ... kinda makes it boring ...

What's so boring about a scenic ride through an asteroid field?

That particular version of Space Invaders took so many hours away from me som many years ago 8) .

The screenshoots shows a colored version of the Space Invaders clone made for the ATARI 2600 Game system.

Still not a bad game. If all the versions of the ATARI cartridge are bundled. I think that little 4 KB cartridge had about 128 versions of Space invaders on it.

Ohh, those were the days...

It turns out you can only install it to main memory. The description has been updated. Bummer.
