There is a problem with the firmware version on your axim. This is why it runs so slow. Your axim does not run slow due to windoes mobile 2003 or because its crap, the firmware needs to be updated. Dell is currents creating a patch for the firmware. I will be notified when i becomes available to download, and in turn will notify you with the link to download it. I'll get back to you soon.

Peace

Missed the news story (still visible) on the front page on 16 June then? And the threads elsewhere on the forum discussing this issue? Not to mention the major attention paid to this by pretty much every Pocket PC/PDA site - including the specialist Axim ones?

Always worth checking these things before you post 'earth shattering news that only you know'....

Ouch!
Aximmanx5, I'll try and be a little more patient. You've hit a hot button. It's a good idea if you search before posting something like you did, in case someone else has covered your topic before. It's a common courtesy thing - some people can get a little upset or impatient. Especially if they're downloading wirelessly and getting charged by the size of the download. It's also a good idea to be a little more specific in your topic, so that people can choose to ignore your post, if they've read about your issue previously.

Sorry if this post is an inconveience to anybody, i was just trying to reach people out there like me who knew nothing about this until yesterday. Thats why i posted it, not everybody gets to this site everyday and reads the news stories. I was trying to convience people, not inconvience them.

SORRY

aximmanx5,

The tone of my response was intended to be a wry, gentle reminder of good netiquette (and the value of remembering that, if it is a major PPC story, odds are it has been covered here already) - not an attack (nor even a complaint as such). I thought my tone was obvious - but perhaps not...

Of course if you do have news of importance, and you aren't sure whether it is something known or not, there is the 'Submit News' link at the top of the page - best way of telling everyone who needs to know!
