Anyone know where i can get the free aol IM for the pocket pc?

I haven't tried it myself. No wireless connection to make it worthwhile.

That download link doesn't work; i think that's the old page. I believe they took the download off their ftp server a while ago; now you have to go to handango and shell out $20 for it.

But it's still free from some of the foreign AOL sites. The one from the UK should be fine (and thankfully in English) - http://www.aol.co.uk/aim/wince/ . Enjoy. It should work, from what i've heard; but i have yet to test it as my wlan card doesn't get in for a few days...

I use the UK version of AIM and it works just fine with my iPaq 5450 running PPC2002. I've used it via WLAN and bluetooth -> GPRS

I haven't tried this on AOL, as I am not a subscriber, however I used JabberCE or iMov as it is now called to connect to MSN & ICQ. It also has a Yahoo Mgr and AOL support built in. Have you tried this one?

This works as well. The site is in Portuguese, but it downloads in English. I use this all the time though I have no wireless connection. If my sister is on the comp and I need to go on aim, I can do it now with no fighting or bloodshed. Plus soon I'll have a USB that reaches into my bedroom!!!

I just downloaded AIM yesterday. I went into the Portugese one (I used the green buttons at the bottom too) Works great! Didn't have to pay that $20 fee!

IMOV is a universal chat program(ICQ,AOL IM,MSN,Yahoo!) that works through the Jabber networks. Best of all ITS FREE!
