I have to question whether or not this is something that's worthy of a headline and an article.

I have to agree completely. The thing is this is not our site or ran by us. Jason would say we could filter out non-PPC related news, in which case the content drops off considerably.

Or he would say if we think we can do better we should start our own site, which is a great idea but takes way, too much time, and requires way too much support. One person can not do something of this scale.

Furthermore as for the bias of this site, Jason will admit that he is not unbiased, but tries to be as much as possible. I would further guess that the point of this particular post was because so many of the readers of this site do not pay a lick of attention to ads and tons are either Sprint PCS users or Sprint PCS haters, I am both.

As for Sprint PCS being a sponsor, I think it is flaming rediculous. They can give money to enthusiast sites based on technology, yet do not push the envelope of technology, do not offer the features that customers here really want, put off carrying the truly great phones in order to carry mediocre ones, and have the most Gawd aweful customer service on the face of the planet!!

What can I say, money is a motivator for most people.

Gee, thanks for all the insults Jared.

Right. And this is coming from a guy who has never finished anything he's started in his life, right? What ever happened to the Pocket PC you were designing Jared? Or that Web site you were going to start up? Give me a break man - you have no right to slag me off. You're a big talker, but you don't actually DO anything.

HOFS here we come, but I just couldn't let that BS stand unchallenged.

Try to tone it down on both sides, please. Advertising is a sensitive topic, but it needs to be here to support the site and Jason is being open about it.

JMountford - your post was a bit ambiguous on whether you were insulting Sprint or Jason (after re-reading it a couple times). While I don't like insulting posts and may move them to HOFS, try to at least be clear as to who's the target. ;)

PS - feel free to not clarify this time and just let it go....

That is a load of crap and you know it. Jason started this site as a one man show in 2000 using blogger. It grew to what it is today, but he took a look around at what was available back then and said "You know, I think the PDA enthusiast site community is missing something, I am one person, it will take some time but I can do it. If it works, it'll grow, if not, at least I tried."

So put up or shut up JMountford, and be thankful Jason didn't have your attitude in 2000 or this site wouldn't be what it is today.

Free clue - we are not unbiased. We don't claim to be. Take a look at the URL.
