Questions on Skins and Rings

Hi All! first of all I'd like to say that is an AWSOME Site!! I bought a T-Mobile XDA and have it activated through Rogers AT&T in B.C. Canada.ok here are my questions, I have tried to search but no answers found::

1: When I change my skins on my T-Mobile I do not see the 3 icons on top left screen for missed , out and in calls. (Hope u guys know what I am talking about.


2: can I make some Icons or something so with 1 click I can change my ringer volume to say like Home, or work for low settings and Movies for Vibe?


3: Ok.. I know that right now there is no Always on GPRS, but in my inbox, I have set it so my mail would be checked every 10 minutes, is it not suppose to connect and check automatically? cuz nothing happens?1?!

I don't know the answer to your first two questions, but this one...

That only works if your device is turned on. This is altered in Windows Mobile 2003 I believe, although I haven't tested it yet.

Goto Start, Settings, Today and look under Items and see if "T-Mobile" is still checked as this is what displays thosw 3 Icon.

I am not talking about the incons for cals on Today Screen, but the Icons on the Phone Screen. When u d/l a skin for the Phone(The Dial PAD) and before I apply the skin, it shows 3 msn type icons on left, but after I apply the skin, I don't get it. Hopefully I am making sense.

those 3 icons are for the call log, missed, inbound, & outbound calls. If you press the call log button, that's where the icons should appear. Have you checked the call log to see if they are there? In the sample image of a skin, they just place those 3 icons there on the phone screen to show you what the call log icons look like.

Also, there is an app out there called My Phone Profiles by Jgui Software. It allows for user profiles for setting the volume loudness, etc. IMHO, it's too buggy but some people have had good success with it. Although it's not one-touch you can use the volume button on the side of the phone to toggle thru mute, vibe, volume lo - hi. I use that instead of a profile as it easier to manage and requires no 3rd party software.

Thx, for help I can see the icon now. and I will chk out that program for Profiles.
