Hi all,
In June my Jornada suffered a broken LCD so I waited few weeks and bought the 2215 (and screen insurance from Office Depot).
My wife has the 1910, so I was expecting the screen to be a big improvement. However, after a couple of weeks I am happy to report the 2215 has pleasantly suprised me in the following ways.
1) Speed
Wow, this thing is fast! After playing with the first generation xscale units I wasn't expecting much improvement.
2) Size & Weight
It's small enough to fit in a shirt pocket with the button closed. It is also lightweight and well balanced.
3) Sound Quality
Using some good quality ear-bud headphones produced sound quality far beyond my expectations (seeing it's not a dedicated audio device).
Then last week while on vacation in Oregon I purchased the full-sized Sony MDR-V6 Studio Monitor headphones at Fry's. Yahoo! These sound fantastic with the 2215 -- clean, clear and balanced sound with very respectable bass!
4) Speed
Did I mention how fast the 2215 is?
<Edited 7/19/03 to add the following point>
5) Battery Life
The Jornada 560 series was great in this regard, the 2215 is as at least as good and maybe a bit better. Also, the 2215 seems to charge very rapidly.
Do miss the Jornada flip cover, though!
