Are there any "generic" brand replacement batteries for the 2210/2215 that won't set me back $50+? I know, i assume none yet... if not, does anyone know of anyone who makes extra batteries for the other iPaqs that aren't a total ripoff?

I mean, it's a 900 mAH battery; how much could it cost them to make? I can only wonder about their profit margins on accessories...

yeah i noticed the same thing when i was ordering. i don't want to spend that kind of money on a battery.

plus i'm wondering if hp or someone will realease a bigger battery in the future.

it would actualy make sence for them to do this, because people buy a $50 battery now and then get a better $50 battery in 3-4 months.

is the battery for the 1940 and 2210 the same? they are both 900mah.

not sure offhand... i do know the 2210 has a different battery than the 1910, though - looks the same, but the contacts are placed differently.

They make cheap knockoff batt packs for most digital cameras with proprietary batteries these days... wonder if they'll bother doing that for PDAs now that replaceable batteries are commonplace.
