Just got my 3835 replaced today with a 5455. I'm reading how great ppc2003 is, and went straight out to get my "free" $15.99 upgrade. However, as I was ordering, I see that there's no instant delivery option, but rather that I can expect the order to be fulfilled in 4-6 weeks.
Can anyone suggest a place out there where I could d/l this software, from an official source or otherwise? I searched kazaa and google, but didn't find any hits for "pocket pc 2003." I have paid for my version, and as such wouldn't feel too bad about downloading an advance copy from something other than an official source...

there is nothing available at this point in time. it is a case of watch this space as i am sure that once it starts to get delivered you will hear about it here first ! :D
HP and Microsoft have both alluded to the fact that this won't be available for download; only CD delivery. I'm guessing that the reason for this is that they want to include the written license agreement. Who knows what will really happen.
If you remember, though, the PPC2002 upgrade was handled the same way. It was released on CD, and to the best of my knowledge, wasn't available for download.

This is correct. My disk sarrived 2 months after i downloaded it from the net using peer to peer. I thought since i had paid for the upgrade already i wasn't doing anything wrong.
However saying that i am not completly sure that i want to upgrade to 2003 as it apparently has some issues that need to be resolved. Also by upgrading to WM2003 you will lose NEVO. It is an application i use on a daily basis.

Really? I had expected it would still be there on the 5455. It was my understanding that it isn't on the 5555 only because that device doesn't include the CIR hardware...
I've played with nevo just a bit since I got the new ppc yesterday, and I'm fairly well impressed....
