Reader problems

I had a bunch of ebooks that I could read fine with the old version of Reader. However, yesterday I bought a book from Fictionwise and was told to update my reader to read it. I did this and now the old ebooks I had have blank pages. I see the cover page but when it goes to the actual text it is blank.

Is anyone else having this problem? And more importantly does anyone know how to resolve this?
