View Full Version : SHOULD I UPGRADE MY H5455 TO WINDOWS MOBILE (PPC 2003) ???

:oops: HI. I RECENTLY UPGRADED MY HP 5455 TO THE LATEST ROM VERSION (1.11.19) AND ALSO DID THE LAN FIRMWARE UPGRADE, WHICH JUST BECAME AVAILABLE ON JULY THE 9TH.... DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW BETTER WINDOS MOBILE IS IN COMPARISON TO THIS(2002) ROM???,
IS IT WORTH RE-UPGRADING??? THANKS FOR YOUR HELP.

From my experience it is not worth the hassle. Performance is not much better and software compatibility is horrible. Save your money to buy a SD card and update your ROM to 2003 if you want.

I'm curious as well. will an upgraded (to 2003) PXA250 chip perform similarly to the 255? I'm a big movie-watcher and loooooooove the upgrade that 2003 brought to viewing .wmv files on the wmp when I tested a 2003 unit at compusa. the price of the 5450 being so low makes me want to purchase one and upgrade to 2003 - but only if the video/performance is comparable.
