I know I'll get flamed for this but... I'm a newbie at this so I just got a 2215 and couldn't wait for the screen protector to come in. Well I got one of those multi-function pens and I was tapping away and didn't realize I was using the ink pen...
Anyone know of a safe way to remove the ink? I don't think I scratched the screen.
Thanks,
Idiot

Hmmm.... You could try using water on a cloth (put the water on the cloth, not the screen), but I bet that wouldn't be enough. I know PPCTechs sells a cleaning solution.... (http://www.pocketpctechs.com/klear.asp) But I'm not sure if that will get ink off your screen. That would probably be what I'd try.

If that doesn't work, call the store you got it from. Since you just got it, they may be willing to let you exchange it. Never hurts to ask!

I guess white out is not an option huh? Sorry couldn't resist. Why don't you call HP. Seems as though I read some where that can be fixed.

You beat me to that one! I think only blondes would try that solution :)

Decided to try one last thing -- rubbing alcohol and a q-tip...
It WORKED!!! :D :D :D
Thanks for all your suggestions.

This is why I hate multifunction pens. I'd recommend always using a screen protector if you use such a pen.

I had my multifunctional pen sitting by my old 3870 and my co-worker decided she wanted to play solitare. After five minutes of using it she gave it back to me and said "This stylus isn't that good, it leaves blue marks all over".
Needless to say, she was a blonde :(

I had a screen protector on. =)
Ironc part is that I do not use a screen protector with my 5555. I enjoy looking at the screen without a protector too much :)
Guess I'll just keep it away from the blondes.
