Looking really hard at the HP 5555 (even though I have found out it does not have Consumer IR). Question: Is there really anything such as free WiFI if I hit a hotspot? I like the concept of WiFi and after looking at Boingo for 21.95 per month for the first 12 months(after that 39.95 per month), it got me to thinking. I want WiFi, but, I would not use it on a hardcore basis. I like the idea of catching a hotspot and downloadiing my e-mail and surfing the net periodically but the price is somewhat up there. Am I going to have to pay?

My understanding is there are various options. I have options of individual Cafe's with their own WiFi services, or a shared provider amongst several cafes that charged on a per MB basis with no time restrictions.

In the US you have far more options, so I suggest you shop around and check out what is in your area.
