The obvious theme of their operations is development of what they call "Interactive 3D" graphics technology. An implementation of this technology is the Superscape's Swerve technology which "has been developed specifically for wireless environments in close collaboration with ARM, and comprises a 3D engine, authoring tools and a range of associated content development and integration services."<br /><br />Superscape has now released a 3D chess game which resembles Battle Chess in many ways. You start out with a normal chess board, but when you capture a piece, it zooms in and you can watch the pieces battle. The game also has really cool multiplayer support including real-time chess games over the network, buddy lists for frequent opponents, messaging between opponents and so on. I don't know what chess engine this game uses or exactly how strong it is, but it is visually very attractive and provides nice multiplayer possibilities; two quite important aspects to any chess game!

This looks neat, I will have to try it out. I like games that attempt to use the ever-growing network capabilities to allow multi-player play. This is one of the reasons I like Snails.

Nice!! Tried the demo and it is visually impressive that's for sure. Only allows a limited amount of gameplay (demo, naturally) so I cannot comment on that.

nice graphics though and looks feature packed. Not sure that I would pay US$18 for it but I'm no chess freak either.

I bought the game last night and love it. I am a chess freak :D, and didn't mind paying $18 for it. The company has very good customer service. I had one problem and they responded very quickly and had a solution very soon. And in the future they might release new boards, pieces, and animations, free to registered users of course. That will defnitely be interesting to see. Another wonderful thing is that even with the animations and features, the game takes up less than 2 MB. There is a save/load feature, and if you play against the computer, you can choose the level he plays at, from novice all the way to grandmaster.

The demo is very impressive. Excellent 3-d graphics and great animations. You can interact with the board to change the orientation using the stylus. The gameplay support also appears very good. I've been looking for any 3-d chess game and this one looks excellent. It's easily worth $18. If you have any interest in chess you should definitely check it out.

You can also move the board with your D-Pad. :D
