Hi ,
I am wondering if it is possible to read newsgroups with my ipaq?

For the last few years I have used outlook express as my newsgroup reader and my default e-mail reader as well.

Now I want to start using outlook as my default e-mail and was hoping news reader as well.
It appears though that outlook uses outlook express as it's newsreader.

All I want to do is get the latest posts from my newsgroups whenever I sync with my pc so I can read them at a later time. Is this possible?

cheers
leigh

The only news reader that comes to mind is News Force (http://www.ruksun.com/mobile_computing/windowsce/Products/NewsForce/index.html) from Ruksun Software (http://www.ruksun.com/). They don't have a Pocket PC 2002 version, though, so it may not run on ARM/Xscale CPUs.

I remember using this on my old Palm-Size PC but it wasn't of much use without an Internet connection. :) Today's more connected Pocket PCs would actually be able to make use of this. Too bad they haven't released an updated version.

There is also InkSpot. It runs well under PPC2002 but has some problems under PPC 2003. It will work under PPC 2003 if you do a soft reset after every down load of news groups.
I could not get News Force to work under PPC 2003.

There's also PPCNewz which works pretty well.

I just wish someone would make one that syncs with your Outlook Express newsgroups and included an ActiveSync plugin for it.
