I was just wondering those of you who have a 1910 with Sprites Software's Pocket Backup Plus could tell me what Pocket Mon says the battery remaining time is at full charge on your Ipaq?

I'm only getting 2:30. HP sent me a new battery and still the same thing. I did a hard reset and no change with the new battery. Now they want to send me another Ipaq ( I have a carpaq) but it will be refurbished.

I'm not sure if I'm happy with that idea. I would prefer a new one, being that I've only had it for 5 months and have had a Writeshield on it since day one and a case. Now I don't know if the refurb will be as mint as mine, althought hopefully it will have better battery times!!

Any one have any luck with carepaq's?

What is your fully charged battery length?

TIA

Give PocketMon time. It adjusts the battery life according to how you are using the 1910.

It uses a default value at first and then adjusts based on how you are using the unit. The value will go down if you use it heavily for a while and will go up if you go a day with only light use.

Well, I think you just went through a MAJOR hassle that was no where near required. There was nothing wrong with the battery, or the units. All you need to do is give the sensor time to adjust. It, at first, just gave you a number based on the mAh of the battery. You are supposed to let the battery run down a bit, then use it normally. This lets the program adjust to the actual time the battery has. So again, sorry, but all you need to do is let the program work about a wekk, then it will be considerably accurate.

Justin.

Thanks for the replys. Fortunately I did not send my Ipaq back. I decided to try a few tests. I have seen some improvements on the new battery they sent me. No MAJOR hassle. Just called Tuesday and Wednesday I had a new one delivered by 9:30am.

I will wait to see how this new battery performs. I have had pocket mon on my ipaq for 2 months. I just never had the battery moniter showing the time remaining, I always had it showing the percentage.

I ran a test last night to see how long the battary would last using it the way I always do and with backup light on the highest setting. I got over an hour longer than pocket mon said. I think this is just not an acurate monitor. I will keep watching over the next week and see if it adjust as you have all mentiond.

Thanks again for the replys.
