Here's a good one for all you techy guys...........
My work PC is constantly downloading my e-mails i receive to Outlook. It's always connected to the Internet through the company network.
The only way i can sync my e-mails is by BT (near the PC) or hard sync (on the PC). Or is it????
Can i Active sync my e-mail by connecting my Loox to phone by Bluetooth, connecting to the Internet or Intranet and then active sync'ing?
Is this possible?
Or do i need some other software inbetween?

Can you clarify what you want to do?
LOOX BT --> BT cell phone --> Internet --> VPN back to office --> ActiveSync
IS THIS RIGHT? :?:

You can use a connector, a little program that runs on your computer and accepts incoming TCP connections from your Pocket PC, and sync the Inbox.
Or you can do LAN Activesync, if you dial into the company LAN or VPN into it.

I want to Active sync with my Outlook at work. This is to my PDA by GPRS.
I want to be able to site at home with my PDA and view e-mails sent to work and also view / alter my calendar. Also to be able to reply to the e-mail from my works PC.
I'm not in the office much so don't get chance to check - reply to my e-mails.
I can link the PDA to the phone, but who do i dial. An ISP? Designated number for a software solution provider? Do I just sign on to the internet on my PDA and then Active sync?
Hope this is enough info!

If you have a desktop PC with Windows XP at home, and you have Windows XP at work, you might be better off using the Remote Desktop feature in XP to connect to your work PC from your home PC. Now I'll say right now that I have NO IDEA how it works or how to set it up, I just know it can be done and that XP makes it fairly easy to do :) It is, I believe, possible under other versions of Windows but XP makes it easier.

You certainly could if you can connect via your work via VPN and your phone supports data (i.e. GPRS).
Bluetooth Loox --> Phone.
Connect Phone to internet (varies by service provider)
use PPC to VPN over connection to work
Run active sync, sync, work! (Or use Term Services, whatever).
I do this with an e740 and an Ericsson T68i now. Slow, but it works.

...VPN into work and ActiveSync via a VPN tunnel. I do that to my home LAN. Check with your work network admins about this...

Well, as far as the email part of this goes, I just set up outlook with a new service for getting pop3 mail from the corporate server. Works great for me.
