Zeta Gamepad for Ipaq 3800 - works on 3900 too?

Finally found a local store with a decent gamepad for Ipaq. Cheap too. However...

The Korean store site (pdamart.co.kr) from BE Interactive specifically lists this Zeta Gamepad for Ipaq 3800 series only. No mention of 3900 series.

Either not smart business, possibly missing out on 3900 owners, OR it actually doesn't work on 3900 models.

Can anyone tell me if it's safe to buy this 3800 model and run it on a 3970? Any chance of it blowing up my Ipaq?

I don't know anything about the zeta. I'm going to buy a gamepad for my h5550 by a company called Benq. It clips onto the bottom kinda like a clip on micro keyboard so you can hold the ipaq with your fingers and play with your thumbs.
