View Full Version : Pocket Backup Question

I just had a very "scary" episode which leads me finally to the conclusion that I need a better backup program than the SD card backup which ships with my XDA.

A couple of questions:

1. Based on my research, Spb PocketBackup was considered the "preferred program". Is this still the case?

2. If I want to be able to back-up to my desktop computer, and not just to a storage card on my PPC, do I need to get Backup Plus, or will the basic program suffice?

3. I recall seeing a post from Jason with a discount code for the product. Now I can't find it. Is it still available?

TIA

Spb Pocket Backup?? Are you thinking of Sprite Software (http://www.spritesoftware.com)?

The PocketBackup Plus version is the only one that will allow you to backup to the PC and from what I understand is still the preferred backup solution.

The basic PocketBackup product will only let you backup to the storage card.

I'm not sure about a discount code though.

I don't know if it still works or not.

You'll need Backup Plus if you want to backup to your desktop PC.

Awesome program - I can't recommend it highly enough. :-)

Pocket Backup Plus is the preferred backup program. If your Ipaq came with the basic version of Sprite Software's program then you can upgrade to the new pro version for only $10 USD.
