dissapointed with the HP 2215 screen in sunlight.

which of the two would be better:

hp5455
16-bit color transflective TFT with backlight

hp5555
16-bit color transflective TFT LCD

These will be exactly the same in sunlight I would imagine. You should be looking for something with a reflective screen instead of a transflective screen.

Moreover, both will be nearly identical to the 2215.

As for finding a reflective display, it's going to be quite a bit harder to do for Pocket PC 2003 units. The MiTAC Mio 558 is rumored to have a reflective display, but it's not certain. Ditto for the Gateway that's coming out. An alternative would be to buy a Pocket PC 2002 unit that's upgradeable to the 2003, like the iPAQ 3800 series.

Speaking of the iPAQ 3800 series, I have an iPAQ 3835 with Vaja iMorpheus case and Writeshield screen protectors. The price is very negotiable. PM me if you are interested. (Sorry about posting this here. I know it should be in the Buy & Sell forum.)
