Hello,

We are happy to announce that we are now accepting pre-orders for the Ipaq 2215 flip cover. We anticipate a ship date in the last week of July, and as a result have decided to introduce the Cover for pre-order at $19.95. We are only receiving 1,000 pieces in the first shipment, so you will be charged in advance to hold your order. If you are not comfortable with this, we should be fully stocked in mid-to-late August. There is no photo to see yet, but here is the order page for those of you who are interested:

BTW, Leather and wood grain will be available in mid-August, and can be purchased and installed separately.

Thanks,

Mike D

Is this the flip cover that attaches with velcro strips? If so, I'm really hesitant about putting a piece of tape on the back of my PDA.

according to the HP site, the two holes on the back of your 2215 are where the flip cover will connect. Flip it over and you should see them near the top of the PPC.

wardseward,

You are correct, however the post above refers to the PocketSolution verison. If my memory serves me correctly, most the time it doesn't, this companies flip cover does attach with velcro.

HP's comments in the 2215s FAQ section does refer to using the holes in the back for a flip cover. I am guessing an HP branded flip cover.

If a flip-cover uses the holes in the device (similar to HP Jornada line) then I will get one for my daughter's new 2210.
