I just purchased a Toshiba e740 and I would like to run two separate calendars syncing to two separate PCs (1 is work the other personal) Toshiba tells me there may be 3rd party softwore that can help but they don't support. I'm looking for a solution. Ideas?

Well,
I haven't implemented this entirely myself, but from what I recall on this board, the best bet for what you're trying to do would be the use of categories.

I would suggest having a category for work (Business maybe? ) and a category for personal (perhaps Personal :D ).

Then, just ensure EVERYTHING you want to synchronize on the work computer gets the business category and EVERYTHING you want to synchronize on the personal computer gets the personal category, and set the sync up to only synchronize the respective categories.

At that point, merely set filters to hide what you don't want to see, and you effectively have 2 separate calendars.

How to's and why's can be found here (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3142&highlight=categories) and here (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8034&highlight=categories).

Hope that was helpful.

Unfortunately, you left out the link to the thread describing why that scheme doesn't work (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1394&highlight=category).

It may work now, though; I think one of the recent releases of ActiveSync allowed setting up synchronization options before the first sync, but I haven't tried it.

I had the same problem, wanting to sync with home and work. I use Outlook at home and LotusNotes at work. The solution was to install Intellisync on my office PC. This lets me have both sets of appointments etc. on my iPaq 3970 and the good thing is that I can also configure Intellisync to let me verify what details I sync with my office PC - so I can keep all my personal stuff away from it.

I don't know what set up you are using but I hope this gives you some ideas.
