This unit looks like a winner, by it's weight and size alone. Does anybody know, if the serial port is the same as on the 5450 and will it accept data such as from a GPS antenna?

The HP 1910 did not have a port that accepted any accessories except the sync cable/cradle. All current info leads us to believe that the 1945 is the same. As a result, it is not the same as the other iPAQs. It can also not accept keyboards, GPS, etc.
You could, however, use a BT GPS with a 1945, but they are more expensive.
