I read somewhere that if you use a hardware firewall/router that the ISP's can't tell who you are. In short, the RIAA can't find who you are to sue you. does anyone know if there is any truth to this?

From what I understand, it was part of a law that was in discussion, but it hasn't been passed yet. If it does pass, that's a very scary thing.... 8O

For me, this is a risk where the benefit does not out way the potential costs. Bye-bye Kazaa lite.

This is a total pity. The only response to the RIAA I think is as close to a total boycott of prerecorded music as can be organized. Everyone that has a computer should make themselves available to whoever asks to copy disks. The RIAA can maybe create FUD on the P2P networks but the sneekernet is still a workable option. They can only attack us if we continue to finance it with our purchases. We CAN starve them out if we stick together.
