remapping buttons

Can you remap all the buttons on the 5450 (or other ipaq's) without additional software? I'm considering buying the 5550 but I would like to be able to remap "record" to "page down."

If you do need additional software, what is the best?

I have the 3835 so I'm assuming it should be the same for the 5450.
