I am just curious. When I go to 'normal' websites using my PPC pocket IE (e.g. www.hotmail.com, www.tonshardware.com, etc.) pocket IE mentioned that 'website not found'. This is perhaps some incompatibility between the webserver and the pocket IE.

Am I missing anything on the setup ?

Anyone know how to circumvent this ? It will be really awesome to be able to view all websites with my PPC. That will be the real definition of wireless.

Are you under a proxy server? Maybe you don't have the proxies set.

Can you get to any sites at all? Pocket IE should certainly pull up those sites, even if it can't format them for the small screen. This sounds more like a network configuration problem to me.

I can get into mobile-based websites -- e.g. pocketpcthoughts/mobile, etc. But I cannot go to non mobile-sites.

I am connecting through a GPRS device, no proxy.

I changed mobile phone provider lately, and the problem starts. I can access all sites with my older mobile provider ... any idea what to check ?

I can't get to some VERY "eye-candy-laden" pages thru my Axim, like Dilbert.com.

Since Window Mobile 2003 for Pocket PC has a better PIE version, it might work.
