I just pre-ordered the IPAQ h5550 as well as a Convergent Technology CF GSM/GPRS card which hopefully will be in my hands next week. As I begin to organize the process of transferring my programs and files over to my new IPAQ I began to wonder which of the following programs I’ll have trouble with due to the new operating system.
Programs I use are Bug Me, Audible, Repligo, EZ Expense, Mapopolis, Flex Wallet, Battery Pack, Journal Bar, Pocket Controller Pro, Cash Organizer, Biz Beam and Pocket Bible.
Does anyone know if there are any of these programs that will NOT work due to the new OS? Thanks.

Short question, have you purchased the CF sleeve for your CF GPRS card ?

Ahhhhhh. Not necessary as the CF slot is now provided along side the SD slot. Sweet!

:?: The 5550 only has an SD slot - it's the 2210 that has dual slots...

So did I screw up and assume the 5550 had dual slots? Dang. You spend all that money and no dual slots. Okay, without having to drag this out any further, I'd like a new Pocket PC with dual slots, Bluetooth and WiFi. Which model gives me that? Also, what is the difference between the 2210 and 2215?

Chris, the PPC you wish for is what we are all hoping the Dell Axim X7 will provide.(Assuming it does arrive at some point). None of the current ones have this specification. I agree that for the money HP charge the 5550 should as well.
Regarding the 2210 and 2215, they are the same, no difference at all. The number references the sales chanel they are distributed through.

You can get a 2215 with dual slots and BT or a Toshiba e70 with dual slots and wifi, but there's nothing with all of the above right now. Pick whichever you'll use more(BT or wifi) and just get a CF card for the other one. OR, you could get a Dell and get a CF for both, if you really want to save money :) However since you were going to get the 5550 I'll assume that saving money isn't a requirement ;)

Guess who just cancelled their order for a 5550? If I can’t get the full bang for the buck I’ll back off and get the 2215. I just called a local retailer and they have 7 in stock. Opps, make that 6! Anyway, I can do without WiFi since I’ll have the CT/CF card.
Okay, now back to the original question, what programs will NOT work with the new OS? See the original start thread for the programs in question. Thanks.

A perfect opportunity for me to use one of the new emoticons.

I really don't see why there can't be a high-end device with everything on it -- bluetooth, WiFi, CF slot, and 3.8 inch screen. I'd even be willing to live without the built-in WiFi and use a card if I could have the large screen.

I, on the other hand, are willing to go without BT. Integrated Wifi, CF and SD are a must. Pony dont say anything mean :p
