Has anybody any information regarding if these bugs in PPC 2002 is fixed in Windows Mobile 2003:

* Repeating alarm in calender
* Not needing to use Edit meny to edit contacts, just tap on the contact

Just wondering because the talk from Microsft was like this wa s going to be fixed.

I believe the first one is fixed but the second isn't a bug it was a programming decision. Not sure if they decided to change it in the new release.

I'm not sure either of these were bugs. I thought removing repeating alarms was a conscious decision that Microsoft now admitted was wrong. Here's what they said during their April 23 Pocket PC chat (http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.asp?url=/technet/itcommunity/chats/trans/mobility/mob0422.asp):

Host: Joe (Microsoft)
Q: Why was repeating alarms taken away between 2000 & 2002?

A: We made a mistake.

Of course, saying they "made a mistake", which could mean a design mistake (not a bug) or a programming mistake (a bug). In any case, I've heard that repeating alarms are back, too.

One real bug that I hope got fixed is audio alarms not going off (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5745) until you turn your device on.

I never had that problem on my iPAQ 3835. My audio alarms always come on with the device being off.

Lucky you. Look at the poll that I linked to, though, and you'll see a different story.
