clarity on the screen and rendering of colours is not too bad on my Ipaq - example themes look pretty close to the screenshots on the sites - photos don't look bad etc
However on my wifes 3970 - the colors are not matched well - purples, for example, are sludgey, pinks are washed out, reds are dark
Any ideas - is this something known about
Is this something we can fix?

Wow. I have never heard of anything like this. I still think that the screen on my 3900 is light-years ahead of the one on my 3600 (same as 3800).
Maybe you could take a couple of side-by-side pics?

I just hope it shows the difference properly

First up - this is the theme that is installed on both the PPCs to show the difference

Here is a (not great) photo of the two PPCs

My 3870 is on the right - not a bad representaion of McDebs theme - got to love them they are all great
My wifes 3970 is on the left - not so good - the colours are all off
Any ideas chaps and chapesses
Thanks

Are both yours & your wife's unit using the same screen protectors?

That's very odd usually all the 3900 screens are waay better than 3800, i know my 3850 is deifnitely not as good as my 3970, just as palmguy said.
