I haven't heard anything about a download from Dell, only from HP. I think you have to buy the physical CD from them.

We Axim owners are lucky--Toshiba is charging $50 to upgrade!! 8O

Last time around on 2k2 the upgrade was $29 or so, and after everything was said and done it was around $40 I believe.

They described it as a "kit" which I guess means a CD rather than a download. I don't think that they need keys or anything as it would be no use unless you owned an Axim. I would be surprised if there was anything to stop you sharing your CD with friends, other than the paper license; which is more than enough for me :!: [/quote]

I purchased the upgrade. It's a CD and with shipping the cost came to $34.50.

Compared to Dell... it seems like Toshiba wants to rip off their customers.

Perhaps they are just charging 10% of the cost of the PPC for the upgrade...
