Help with File Transfers on CF Cards: Old card to new card [Archive]

:( I just purchased a new 1.0 GB SanDisk CF card and would like to transfer everything from a 256 MB card to the new card. I've moved most of the files including programs but the card shows up as StorageCard2 and I do not seem to be able to change it. Must I reinstall all my programs on the new 1.0GB card to get them to run or is there a way of just moving them from the iPAQ 256 MB card to the new card and changing its designation from StorageCard2 to StorageCard for them to run. Please advise when someone gets a chance.

Sounds like you have both cards in a dual sleeve? Just try leaving only the 1Gig card in a slot and soft resetting. Typically the first CF card the OS finds is '1' and the second one inserted becomes '2'. I expect when the OS redesignates the 1giger as 1, all the programs will work fine.
