I want to update my 3970 to PPC2003

When will the update be available? Will it be free?

I read info about upgrading 5450, but what about my 3970? I have replaced my old ARM based PPC to 3970 knowing that XScale performance will increase with the release of the new OS.

HP! Please send me a FREE PPC2003 upgrade CD, or else I will be very angry. :mrgreen:

In all likelihood, the 3900 will be upgradeable to 2k3.

I would be surprised if anything lower than the 3900 was though, i.e. 3700, 3800...

It won't be free though. The only people who seem to be able to get a free upgrade are 5400 owners who bought their machine in the last two months.

I would expect that the upgrade won't be out for us until this time next month, maybe even later.
