View Full Version : "built-in storage2" and "built-in storage"

Just a few weeks ago my X5 400 started to create a folder called "built in storage2." I can dump data on and off it, and it has the special "memory card" logo, but I can't delete it. The normal "built-in storage" folder works, too, but has a normal folder logo.
Only Built-in storage2 shows up in the "memory" graph in Settings.
Ideas?
The list is alpabetical, so "built-in storage2" is the second one...

Dumb question, but have you tried a soft-reset?

Yes, I have done several soft resets for various reasons, and the 2nd folder is still there. I cant delete or rename it either.
I just came back from "war cycling" with my Axim - wow! Only 1 of 13 networks was secure!!

Does this mean you got sniffing software that worked? I thought you didn't have any (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=13807). If you got some, you should follow up in that thread with details of what worked.

No, I only own a CF 802.11b card and a 128 CF card. So only one card at a time.
When I go "war cycling" (I only have once) I put my Axim in my pocket with the case half-open, the power settings to "always on," and the volume all the way up. Using pocketWiNc works great!
By the way, Pony99CA, I DID reply to that thread, and said that pocketWiNc worked great.
Turned a two hour business drive into a War Drive today! Found only 21 APs along the way, but found three covering an entire town! Totally un-encrypted, but they wanted to charge $33 a month! :|
Also, on the way home from work I found a wireless network that had a 128 random characters for an SSID 8O .... hmmm... I wonder what that could be... :D
My boss is getting addicted to war driving! Yay! No Pocket PC yet, but maybe an external antenna for a laptop.
8) Got 802.11b? 8)

You hadn't posted about WiNc when I posted my comment here, though. If you had checked the timestamps on the posts, you'd have seen that my post here saying you should follow-up was made on June 21; your post there saying WiNc worked great was on June 23.
Don't you think I would have checked that other thread before I said to follow-up? I even posted a link to the thread as an indication that I had checked. I'm not a newbie at this, you know. :?
