Ipaq 3650 Wont Turn On

I just got a ipaq 3650 and it worked fine for about 8hrs and how it wont turn on at all.. the battery is fully charged and i have no idea what it wrong. Called compaq and they said it was out of warranty when the person before me got it 3 months ago.

Assuming you have tried everything possible to get it powered on (eg tried to power it on when connected in its cradle so that you are not relying on the battery) you may need to try a hard reset. Be aware that this will result in the loss of all data on the device. I have had a situation with one of my old PPCs that left me with no alternative but to do a reset.

As far as the warranty goes the Compaq/HP support person may have assumed that since the 3600 series is a couple of years old that yours is out of warranty. My understanding is that the warranty starts when the unit is first bought. So, if the iPAQ was sitting in a shop for a while before it was bought then it may still be under warranty.
