Looking to get into WiFi cheaply and saw some very reasonable Zonet CF cards (http://www.zonetusa.com/Zonet%20Solutions%207-2.htm) on ebay. (I would need type I for my Jornada). Anyone used one before?

Also, are wifi CF cards generally compatible with most any wifi router (assuming they are both 802.11b)? TIA.

Remember: If you really need a type II card, you can use the Atek CF Pocket (http://pocketpcthoughts.pricegrabber.com/search_getprod.php?masterid=539476&ut=4420cb625ac62bf4&found=2&search=atek%20cf%20pocket) Adapter...

Steve,

I had forgotten about that adapter, but it would add $30+ to the price of the "package". But, thanks for the reminder.

Now that my Z-com x-815 card has gone belly up I am in the market for a cheap wifi card as well and the Zonet ZCF1100 looks like pretty good value, but does anybody know anything about them?

In particular I am wondering what chip set they use. My Z-com used the intel 815 chip set (I think) anyway it was the same as the Neatgear cf WiFi cards and it pretty much sucked! Not only was it quite a bit bigger than the Zonet card appears to be but very few of the wifi utilities supported the chip set. So I am hoping somebody might be able to tell me that the zonet uses a better supported chip set.

Ahh now I see that this card is sold in the States as the Ambicom WCF1100.
