Connecting Inbox to an Exchange Server

My boss has been looking at my pocket pc for a while (she uses a palm). With the demise of her pda, she decided to move over to an ipaq 3950. I thought that it was a great move except that because of the sleeve technology, she now wants to be able to look at Outlook remotely.

My company is running an email web server with Exchange 5.5. It is not POP3 or IMAP4, so how do I make the handheld connect to the server?

Any suggestions?

At Exchange 5.5, you'll need a separate MS Mobile Information Server (with separate CALs too). Search for it on MS, the server software is free--but implementation is a little tough!

Or you can start looking at upgrading (at 2003 version, it's all rolled up!).

There is a set of demo asp pages for phone access to OWA, but they aren't fully functional...don't have time to search it out right now, unless you are really interested in fixing them...
