Does anyone know of any software that keeps track of time spent at a client site? Transportation costs, work done, description of work, etc?

If its free, that would be best!

I haven't used any of these, but here goes.

Bivrin Solutions' PocketTime (http://bivrin.com/PocketPC/) -- freeware (but donations are accepted)
R&F Consulting's TimeTTracker (http://www.rfcons.com) -- $25 or more depending on usage
Standard Time (http://www.stdtime.com) -- $135 or more depending on usage
Soft Concept's PocketTiME (http://www.soft-concept.ch/pockettime_e.htm) -- $24.95 (I just found out about this yesterday)

If you try one or more of these, I'll expect to see your thoughts and opinions about them posted here, OK?

Steve

One of my tasks is to write a Billable time app. Funny enough, there never seems to be enough time for it.

I think I'll try some of Pony's links here, and I'll let you know what I find out. With any luck I will get a chance to look at them over the weekend.

Oddly enough I just download the solution from Bivrin. Free sounds great! I am always at a client site and I never completely document what I do. This is essential for billing. When I install and test it, I will get back to you.

Thanks!

You can try Billable Buddy (http://www.mastersoftmobilesolutions.com/DETAIL_NET_BillableBuddyEnterprise.htm) from Mastersoft Mobile. They have 2 versions. The classic for $9.95 and the Enterprise for $14.95.
