Stack a $20 Kingston mail-in rebate on top of that, and your net cost is $17. 128 MB isn't huge, but $17 is dirt-cheap! There's not that many left, so act fast if you want to get one...

I got a 256MB SimpleTech CF card for £23 last week at ebuyer.co.uk... although I think that may have been a mistake because after my order went through the digits swapped and it became £32 :)

They didn't update my invoice though. Also selected five-day delivery and it came the next day!

Looks like it's my turn to talk about rebates. :) I recently received an e-mail and a postcard from Kingston, informing me that the website I bought a 256 meg CF card from wasn't participating in a previous rebate program. Therefore, I'm not eligible for the rebate. I find that very strange, since the website in question happened to advertise the rebate program. I'm talking about a retailer, and not about Pocket PC Thoughts in case you're wondering.

Anyway, I'm not particularly angry. And I won't presume to tell other people what they can do with the money they earn. But I will say that Kingston has, for the moment, lost any opportunity to earn money from my purchases. Based on that experience, I'm going to make an effort to buy from another manufacturer the next time I need memory. I hope I have an experience in the future that rebuilds my confidence in that particular brand.

Buy.com has a 128MB Viking CF card (http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=10275316&loc=101) for $32.49 - $15 MIR = $17.49 and FREE SHIPPING!!! ...and AFAIK they are not in danger of running out of stock.
