Can someone tell me why at 12AM my pocket PC turns on by itself? And...how I can turn that off? Thanks

All Pocket PCs turn themselves on momentarily at midnight. I believe it has something to do with sychronizing the clock (whatever THAT means).
Anyway, AFAIK, there is no way to disable this "feature" Just make sure that you don't leave any programs running that might keep the PPC awake, such as Windows Media Player

From my understanding, Mike6432 is correct. At midnight, the Pocket PC checks for the next day's alarms and updates the PIM data. This should only be a problem if your system does not shut back off (thus draining the battery completely by morning) which is not unheard of. Otherwise, it's pretty harmless - sounds like some famous last words! :D

12am your pocket pc is just updating its appointments reminders etc nothing really to worry about.
What we really need here is an FAQ for people. As if Jason is'nt busy enough! :D

FAQ is not as fun as a direct answer to your questions. It is OK, I am sure most of us dont mind giving repetitive answers to PPC newcomers. Kinda remind you of the first 5 days owning a PPC ... all the euphoria and confusion .... getting use to the change from click-and-drag to tap-and-drag ... :)

Absolutely -- it worked in the browsing session where you executed the search. The link you made takes you to the last search you've done in a browsing session.
Back ontopic: this Microsoft Knowledgebase Article (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;263719) gives the technical description as to what's happening.

If a program such as Microsoft Windows Media Player for Pocket PC were running when the device is turned off, Windows Media Player would resume playing when the device turns on at midnight. In this case, the device would not turn off because there is activity. You should stop Windows Media Player before turning the Pocket PC off.
Great advice from microsoft.
