Whats the difference between a CF and SD card? 8O

Well a CF card is bigger than a SD card.

They are just two different storage technologies. There are also a number of peripherals that use the CF slot like a WiFi card or a camera. SD cards capable of this aren't very prevalent and require your slot to be SDIO.

More importantly, CF is cheaper than SD on a $/MB basis.

As Jacob mentioned above, CF is physically bigger, it also has larger capacity. 1 GB CF is already available to general public, while for SD, the largest publicly available size is 512 MB.

Care to elaborate on your inquiry? Like the planned usage of the card that you are going to buy, etc.

There's 2gb CF available right now too... although it costs like $650

:D Well, general public (and myself, personally) will not spend $650 for a storage device. But, if you really want a BIG CF card, actually the 6 GB model is out. It will cost you $7500 though ...
