Hi all.

I want to buy a pocket pc mainly so I can use the "GPS" addon (e.g. Pharos)... I'm using ebay, which happens to go INSANE over ipaqs. I was wondering if anyone knows if there are any other kinds of pocket pcs that are able to use the GPS feature, that are hopefully cheaper.

Thanks,
Ol-e

Jornada 567!!! Works GREAT! :) (and it's the best looking PDA, if you ask me!)

Here's a decent looking one (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3027942010&category=38331)

Or here's another... (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3028197781&category=38331)

I guess the Dell Axim is a pretty good model also. I'm sure others will weigh in with their opinions.
(I'm just a huge Jornada fan!)

The axims are great for this purpose. Im not sure how much theyre going for in the states, but often there discounts and sales that bring the price even lower.

Now buy a CF GPS for $119 and pair it with Mapopolis Navigator for $89 and youve got a great bundle for a great price! You can even apply discounts as a member of gpspassion.com

You should be able to get any PPC2002 device to work with the current software GPS solutions, the hard thing may be finding a cable to connect the hardware to the PPC but you can usually make them. Search here and over at http://www.pocketpcpassion.com on how to make cables for them.

I made a cable to work my laptop for the Radio Shack iPAQ/Handheld GSP and then used my MS Streets.
