Like many of my fellow PPC users I have and use a digital camera. I mostly use the pics for email, but occasionally used the photo machines at Walmart to print out 4x6's at 50 cents each off the storage card. I happened to be at Best Buy last weekend and caught a Canon rep demoing their new photo printer. The i470D. I was amazed at both the quality of the prints and the speed at which it printed them. Using a pic off my CF card, it printed a 4x6 of it in under 2 minutes ! (Actually timed it at 88 seconds). And now for the drum roll. . . . . it only retails for $149.99. Extremely good value considering the picture quality/speed and it has built-in card slots for SD/MM, CF and Memory stick. Plus thr printer is small enough to be able to take with you. A big thumbs up for this little beauty :way to go:

Nice! Congrats on the find. I myself just bought the HP7550 (http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/us/en/sm/WF05a/18972-236251-64340-15100-64340-72890.html) but it's still in the box. Also has card readers and a small screen built in. But it's also a full printer so it's not really portable.
List - $299.99
I bought for $229.99

This is a full printer to, it just so happens to be small enough to take with you to family functions for quick prints. That said, it is not considered portable.

Well I have a pick-up, so mine is portable too. Really though, this one isn't too heavy and I could throw it in the back seat and do the same. Plus... <bragging> I have SIX color printing (+ black) and YOU only have 3! </bragging>

Now now. I didn't say this was the best photo printer money could buy, just the best bang for the buckl I think. No offense but I saw a photo printed by your printer and IMO the one from the Canon looked better. Of course such things are subjective  Next time your in a store that carries the i470D, print out a test photo and tell me what you think. Enjoy your printer, digicam and PPC !
