Active-Sunk - How to restore a Partnership?

Went to upgrade the ROM on my Axim and depended on the ActiveSync backup. The new ROM loaded properly but reset the PPC. It created a Partnership but would not allow the previous name. The new name does not recognize the back-up created under the old Partnership name and hence cannot restore. What am I missing?

You are trying to restore an ActiveSync backup? I think that you are not supposed to create a nw partnership with AS but attach as Guest. You should be able to restore the proper backup from there.

FWIW ActiveSync backup sucks imHo. I strongly recommend a backup utility which writes to a removeable memory card. I use my spare CF card for safety backups. ,:) Might save your bacon in the future.

:oops: I read the manual; imagine that. All this time I never understood that you have to undock the PPC and do the "guest" partnership. I will look at the recently reviewed PPC back-up utility.
