Just loaded this new version... Not related to Landware but chose to buy their product over the competiton. With this update the product got even better. Regards

Following is from Landware site on the update:
Added calculator, accessible via Tools menu or tap/hold in any "amount" field

Pocket Quicken information may now be included on the Today screen

Added "Quicken Transaction" to global New menu

Zeros no longer removed from transaction/split values under 10 cents

Sync stability increased by eliminating spurious unhandled exceptions

Corrected a time zone issue affecting the display of sync dates on the handheld

It is still beyond me why you can't install this app if you don't have quicken. Are there any legal implications ?

The reason is you need quicken to sync up the financial data.

yes, I understand that, but I don`t have quicken and would like to use this app standalone. That seems not to be possible. And I don`t see exactly why.

Not a clue, why don't you write to Landware and ask them?

If you're looking for a good stand-alone money app, try Cash Organizer from Inesoft. I've been using it for about 3 weeks and I really really like it. Just reconciled my checking account and it works like a charm. There's also nifty charts and graphs, and a budget feature. I don't even use desktop Money now. (I do still sync with Money, though, just for the heck of it.)

I love this software but I have to say the way they are giving out the activation codes is moronic. I already used up my free trial a while ago and I was waiting for this update before I actually purchased it; well I paid for it yesterday and I still can't use it because apparantly the email containing the code is sent out MANUALLY and I have to wait until Monday to get it. Most absurd thing I've ever heard of, that email should be sent out automatically when I submit my credit card information.

We have humans eyeball the orders to protect you the consumer.

If you you would like the code instantly we have a free 800 number you can call to obtain an activation code.

Too late now, wish I'd seen that on Saturday.
