On my 5455, I have noticed that when Microsoft Reader is running, the device will not turn off after it reaches the amount of time on the power setting for "Turn off device if not used for:". I only experience this problem if MS Reader is the active window. If it is minimized in the background, the device times out and turns off like it is supposed to. Has anyone else noticed this? Does anyone know of a fix for this problem?

It is a pain to be reading an e-book, set it down, and come back later to find your pda battery is almost dead because the unit didn't time out.

My Axim shuts off normally if MS Reader is active. Maybe some other 5455 users can chime in to see if this is a common problem.

One other thought, make sure that you aren't synced. My PPC stays on when synced, regardless of the power source and settings.

No, I'm not synced when it does it. It is when I have an e-book open. If I'm just at the library page, it times out like it is supposed to.
