newbie question on storage/program memory

I was wondering about storage and program memory. I have an ipaq 1910 and have installed most things onto my 256 SD card, but put some programs onto my unit. I have 46.74MB of Main Memory but am worried that it is getting used up.

When I check my memory I have 5.00 MB of storage memory free and 17.39 MB free in Program memory. Will having so little storage memory mess up my machine or cause problems?

No it won't.

Together you have approximately 20 MB of memory which is fine for running all of your software. When your combined free memory gets to about 4 -5 megabytes, you should consider uninstalling some programs or moving some files. If you run out of memory completly your device could crash and require a hard reset.

Check the Memory control panel, which -- unless it works differently on teh 1910 -- allows you to temporarily adjust storage versus program memory. The OS will do this generally on its own. Also, RTFM (Start Menu | Help) while you're in that control panel to learn other functions of the control. ;)
