Does anyone know if there is any app that will allow you to add pictures of your contacts in either PI or the native contact app on PPC's or is it not possible (at this time)?

I know this was available for Handheld PCs, but I'm not sure if it is for Pocket PCs. The closest thing I'm aware of is SyWare's PocketExtra (http://www.syware.com/prodlib/win_ce/pocketex/pocketex.htm). They claim to support "drawings", but I'm not sure if that just means digital ink or if they support bitmaps. I think it's likely the former, but you should ask them and report back what they say. :-)
By the way, a search for photos contacts turned up the "Where's the Photo Field?" thread (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6164). You might want to check it out.

Anybody know if Caller2Picture by V2R Vision To Reality can be used on a regular PPC, or is it just for the Phone Edition?

I installed it on my Casio E-200.
When I tap and hold a Contact, I have an "Assign picture" option in the contextual menu.
But when I click I get this message : "Cannot run menu add in"

I could see the usefulness in this for those of us who are not completely overloaded with contacts. There was a thread that mentioned how one user created a link in the contacts to a web page created on their storage card that had the contact's picture so you could call it up rather simply. Granted this is an extra step but it was a good workaround in my opinion.

How do you do this? I did some searches, but only turned up references to Caller2Picture (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=33908&highlight=contacts+link+storage#33908). How can you do this without an addon? On the PC you can copy and paste links into the comments, but can this be done on the Pocket PC?

I just tried assigning a link like file://\My Documents\photo.jpg to a contact as its Web page. Tapping on the URL opened the image in my JPEG viewer.
Having the Microsoft Contacts power toy (http://www.microsoft.com/mobile/pocketpc/downloads/powertoys.asp) would allow this to be done from the tap-and-hold menu in Contacts, too.
